It's obvious that this entire thing was just theatrics by both Macron and Israel.<br><br>Let us all remember that publicly Macron was criticizing Trump for his recent actions, but Trump himself then leaked a private message from Macron wherein he says he agrees with Trump on the majority of his actions (this in regards to Iran).<br><br>Macron knows that, when it comes down to it, his relationship with America (the owner of the vassal state) is more important than his relationship with his electorate.<br><br>This is why you see moves like France "recognizing" a Palestinian state (again, just an act, nothing substantive) or "engaging" in Lebanon. It's all just an attempt to placate the French electorate to make it seem that France is giving America the middle finger whereas in reality they are more on America's side than not. <br><br>Same thing for most European countries.
