Think only thing is your French drain should of added fabric your dirt will eventually mix in with your gravel causing failure and very slow draining over time then trying to dig that out will be extra fun cause gravel and dirt mixed isn't easy with shovel but looks really great you made the job looks easy rhanks

Only thing i would have done is added some protectant to keep rocks from freezing over, and potentially slipping, unless frost is relatively non existent for the climate they live in

That "dirt" from your raised bed - what was it? If you used some type of store-bought raised bed mix, then it was almost all organic material and just a bit of sand. That organic material will break down over the next 3-5 years and your new bed and new perennials will sink. You should have used real "soil" consisting of 90-95% sand/silt/clay and only 5-10% organic material.

Everything looks great, but what’s your plan if you ever need to replace the fence? You covered up all the bottom screws in the boards. You just gave yourself extra work for the future. Other than that, the project looks really cool!
@yassinefouad7931
@@yassinefouad79313 months ago
It’s a great job, but it should not be done this way.
For retaining wall, it’s better to use 4 inches of gravel and some concrete. Also o you need a drainage pipe so the water will go away from your foundation. The organic in the foundation is not stable so it’s better to use gravel maybe a 3” of gravel. I know it’s more work but it deserves it. But a a a good DYI
