This is a good move. Europe needs to stop or reduce the money given/traded with countries such as Russia, China and those in the middle east which want to destroy European life and culture.

This is nothing but gaslighting by woke globalest >>>> .Canada currently has no operational LNG export facilities on the East Coast (Atlantic Canada). No no plan to be built, but they estimate they can potentially have an LNG plant in about 15 years but considering it took us 20 years to get permit for a mine to start construction.. This is a gaslighting act for ignorant woke populations in both countries..

Canada has absolutely no capability For oil supertankers” (VLCCs or larger) in any meaningful way.
Canada can and does load oil tankers on the East Coast for export to world markets, in theory, but these are tiny nations on islands, these are typically mid-sized vessels (Aframax or Suezmax), for Caribbean use . Canada does not have the port or infrastructure to support loading up supertankers used to Shuttle oil around the world.

Europe cannot rely on geopolitically unstable regions like the middle east or hostile countries like russia. Canada cannot rely on trade dependence with America anymore. This needs to be done. 🇫🇷🇨🇦

This is fine. Let them build their own relationship. Maybe then America can finally stop having to babysit these nations and we can focus on whats best for the US rather than always getting hamstrung by these dependencies.

I'll be interested in how associate status would be different from Canada becoming a part of EFTA like Switzerland, Norway, etc.

I reckon this would be like an outer ring to EFTA, first Canada then the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, S. Korea?
