EU-Mercosur trade deal takes effect as Brazil’s coffee producers eye higher profits

A long-awaited trade agreement between the European Union and the Mercosur bloc has officially come into effect, marking the end of a 25-year negotiation process and introducing tariff cuts on a wide range of goods.
