Vim do futuro em 2026 para dizer que estou lendo e adorando. Sou do Brasil.

As a protestant, I would respectfully disagree. As far as I remember, they put focus on the process of evolution rather than how it started. Once it gets going, I can understand that changes can arise from seemingly random mutations or new environments. But I struggle to understand how random processes can start that loop. To me, it's like knocking over a jigsaw puzzle and seeing the puzzle solved on the floor. That just never happens. And like they established, we are far more complex than any jigsaw puzzle. Also my faith wasn't just informed by evolution. I've put thought into the scope beyond it, focusing on the laws of physics and the nature of our universe. There's at least 25 universal constants, and if any one of them were different by the slightest conceivable measure, life would cease to exist. For example, the fine structure constant is a dimensionless value approximately equal to 1/137. It directly measures the electromagnetic forces between elementary particles as a constant ratio. If it were even slightly smaller, atoms wouldn't have the strength to bond and form compounds, and therefore water and by exstension life could not exist. If it were slightly larger, electrons would be too tightly bound to the atomic nuclei to form shared electron clouds. That means atoms physically can't interact, and again compounds cannot exist. My sources include but are not limited to: God's crime scene from J. Warner Wallace, Mere christianity from C.S Lewis, and the channel IMBeggar.
So sorry for the massive comment. I just find these topics engaging, and I'm not here to argue or judge by any means. I'm in the same boat as you are.

@StarTalk
I don't understand why you guys don't see the combined picture of everything, instead of just the evolution part,
you know I don't disagree with the evolution theory, but let's just say it happened like this,
god didn't just sit and create every creature one by one. he just commanded with his word that,
at first, he said like here you go matter or space or time or all of you - I command you to come into existence,
and then he commanded for the water and the vegetations[seeds] to come into existence,
and then he said like- all of the living creatures, I command you to come into existence.
And right when he said that it started with a simple cell and then all the way to the mammals is formed one by one, step by step, exactly the evolution as you say.
And I think that this evolution had happened in a rather perhaps faster way than a slow process and then it stopped when it reached its limit or I'd like to say it reached its 100% progress and finished.
And all of these of survival of the fittest, other evolution theories would come into action only after all of the creatures had been created.
I would prefer to call these as post creational adjustments instead of evolution.
That's why it explains why doesn't monkeys no more transform into humans, if at all evolution is still going on!!

To clarify, richard dawkins is not a scientist. He cannot explain the complexity of natures include living beings in this planet. He just invent his own science definitions, concept, theories, which are all already debunked. Many books of rebuttal of his view, especially on evolution had been available. Some countries exclude evolution theory in their schools curriculum due to its nature of not-a-real-science. Richard is now a rich people so whatever sh*t he said, people will admire and respect him. Only open mind people can avoid the trap of his misleading pseudoscience.

Yeah, the small changes in evolution really make sense.
Take the eyes and ears, for example. The first creatures that blossomed out of whatever, were practically blind and deaf (which made survival almost impossible). Then we guess over billions of years, real small genetic changes resulted in the marvels of seeing and hearing. Yeah, right, super logical.

The concept of "natural law" was originated by Aristotle, and Thomas Aquinas applied it to the legal realm. Later, the School of Salamanca used it to justify liberty and what we now call human rights; this gave rise to the Laws of the Indies, which prohibited forced conversions and the seizure of native lands in the Americas—even granting the natives property titles issued by the Spanish Crown. Hume criticized the legal principle of natural law, and the theory of legal positivism subsequently emerged; however, that theory allowed almost everything the Austrian painter did in Germany to be legal, leading to the acceptance of certain natural law ideas after World War II...,

Parmenides formulated the principle of identity—"being is; non-being is not"—and expressed it in a poem in which a goddess (perhaps Athena) revealed it to him. Heraclitus warned him that this philosophy was incapable of grasping motion and change. Parmenides concluded that "being" (that which is truly real in the universe) is infinite, eternal, and immutable. His science was what we now call Euclidean geometry (which views space as an infinite set of points); he concluded that motion cannot be rationally conceived and that, therefore, our senses deceive us. To support his ideas, he devised the paradoxes of Achilles and the tortoise and of the arrow remaining motionless in mid-air. Newton and Leibniz incorporated motion into physics using differential and integral calculus, but they approached the problem differently by focusing on the distance between two points rather than on individual points. This inability of Greek philosophy to conceptualize motion was part of the reason for the initial rejection of the theory of evolution, as the arguments raised against it were similar to those Parmenides used to deny the existence of motion...,
@philipkdick2
@@philipkdick21 months ago
The idea that the universe is eternal and immutable originates with Aristotle. Greek myths, however, generally speak of a beginning to the universe. The Church adopted Plato as the foundation for its theology, influenced by Neoplatonism and Augustine of Hippo. During the Late Middle Ages, the Arab philosophers Avicenna and Averroes rediscovered Aristotle and wrote commentaries on his work. Aristotle's writings were translated into Latin by Jewish translators in the Iberian Peninsula and subsequently spread throughout Europe. Thomas Aquinas adopted Aristotle as the basis for his theology, although he initially faced difficulties because Aristotle's writings had been declared heretical. Aquinas accepted the notion that the universe is immutable and eternal—existing within time. Augustine had already posited that God exists outside of time—a concept found in Book XII of Confessions (which also contains an argument against astrology, noting that in a Roman household, the master's son and a slave's son were born at the same moment). Consequently, Aquinas maintained that God created both the universe and time, a view consistent with the first chapter of Genesis. This belief in a universe that is eternal and immutable over time persisted until Hubble discovered the expansion of the universe..

I see no contradiction in supposing that a higher being caused life to spring from primordial slime and created humans through evolution. Genesis presents an image of God as resembling humans—with hands that mold clay—yet the prohibition against depicting God implies that He bears no resemblance to anything we can perceive with our senses. In the Bible, numbers often carry symbolic meaning; for instance, when Jesus speaks of forgiving "seventy times seven," He does not mean forgiving exactly 490 times, but rather forgiving without limit. We can therefore assume that the seven days of creation in Genesis are symbolic; to claim they are days like our own would be to reduce God to the level of a mere human.

Analyzing the laws of nature might not tell us anything about whether the universe is designed; a higher entity could create different universes with different rules, just as mathematicians create different mathematical systems by varying the postulates.
@philipkdick2
@@philipkdick21 months ago
Science does not deny that the universe could be created; it might be a computer simulation or the dream of a Boltzmann brain. The real issue at hand is whether free will is possible within the universe. In certain reductionist philosophical models, natural laws leave no room for free action by a human or a higher being, yet quantum randomness leaves a small opening; indeed, during World War II, Turing calculated how the decrypted information from German messages could be utilized without alerting the Germans that their code had been broken.
@philipkdick2
@@philipkdick21 months ago
The question concerns free will; Dawkins denies its existence, implying there is no room in the universe for an autonomous entity. Chance and evolution can be used to design—much like in evolutionary algorithms. The definition of "design" shifts with technological advancement. Chance is not a fundamental force of nature; it merely marks the limit of what we can know—it is a phenomenon, not the noumenon (in the Kantian sense). Quantum theory and relativity contradict each other, yet this does not render them false; it simply limits their respective scopes of application.

A field that is so wide and still unexplored. Science is a tool, not the truth. You hinder the progress of science by creating "truths".
Neil deGrasse Tyson is much purer a scientist, because he more often comunicates the boundaries of science.
Still a very good conversation between a scientist and a bishop of darwinism.

You really have to laugh at those who believe everything just puffed into this world without design or thought given in its creation, lol !! No one is surprised by this truth because the best-selling book in the world reveals it to them. God reminded them they rejected it. The other side of it is this truth. God is highly intelligent because he's all-knowing. The devil is a former angel who had to look into things. In other words, he had to research and try to find out what makes things tick in the universe. Like a car mechanic who has to figure out what makes a car tick. The creator of that car understands it. God is intelligent and knows exactly what he created. In fact, Jesus would often go outside the boundaries of human thinking. Did things that a lot of scientists are still trying to figure out how he accomplished it. Like opening the eyes of the blind, ears of the deaf and raising the dead without having to look it up in some book. Because there are no books on this science, only the bible. All kept in only the mind of God. Proving he is much more intelligent than these so-called scientists who appear to know everything by fighting God with lies! What is even more amazing is that even Einstein, after looking into the design of things he discovered such perfection. He said only an intelligent mind could create such a creation.
