Great video thanks. I hope things will finally start getting better in Germany, because we’re all in the same boat.

It’s completely not true. Now go do the experiment, zoom on google map satellite view random polish cities, and random west German cities, and you’ll see, that random small German city, is more industrialized, has more factories, and storages, than big polish city, that explain a lot regarding this topic. And i say it as Pole, not German. It’s funny how suddenly Poland is portrayed as a soon Europe leader, no it isn’t, and it won’t be. Poland is, oh sorry, it more and more tends to “was” a place, where western companies could produce cheaper, so that’s why we had all those growth, because we were being pumped from outside. But the fact is, that taxes go elsewhere, banks are foreign, companies are foreign, manager often are foreign, and polish people are reduced to merely workers. And as of now, it is becoming bigger and bigger problem, that Poland in those 20 year period, developed a small amount of innovations, business and global corporations, so if west is falling, so is Poland. Those kid of videos are just ego boosting for poles, and also easy views, because polish love being talked about by foreigners, just check stats :)))

I am a Portuguese living in Berlin and married to a Polish woman. So I frequently go to Poland (especially western Poland). It is impressive to see their growth in real time. There are so many factories (a lot of them from German companies), logistical centers, and EXCELLENT brand-new infrastructure. And all of this, while keeping a livable quality of life. It's quite a shock to see in Germany infrastructure like bridges and train lines just falling apart and old (already) outdated projects like the Berlin central highway being built with horrendous costs and too late to make a difference.
What I do find is that Poles often forget their lovely infrastructure was heavily paid by the EU... But that's a whole different story.

…Because Poland has now refugees, and this are not only non-qualified Turkish or Syrian workers, or even farmers where a lot of urkrainians still working, but people with high education (mostly), because in Ukraine most of people have high grades. Ant this is “for free”, because Ukrainians earns for their own, regarding official Polish statistics and the rest of money leaving for Polish GDP. Officially Ukrainian refugees produces from 4 till 5 % of Polish GDP, replacing Polish people who went to Germany for work. Thats a lot. More than 33 000 private companies were opened in 2025. After the War Russia will take control of Ukraine, and slowly rebuild it. This will take MANY years. At least 20 to 25 years. It's a well researched material. Well done, @Geography Effect
However, what needs to be said is that Poland is well aware of its problems. We are losing the war on demography but we are on the right track with energy mix. The current energy production from coal is still high (around 53%, compared to 9% EU average), however in 2021 it was 72%, so we've made a nearly 20pp drop in just 4 years! Still some problems with the grid too. In 10 years time Poland will solve this problem and coal will be replace with nuclear power as the main stabilising source. By this time we will also have a solid network of rail and a massive logistic hub with integrated airport and railway - an entire country connected for people and goods transport - an investors paradise. Our competitive edge is still on the rise.

Demography is a big issue not only for Poland but others in EU as well. Therefore, new factories currently built and those modernized are optimized with automation in mind. This should help with shrinking workforce. You can already see changes in education system which eliminates profession profiles that most likely will be replaced by AI driven assembly lines in near future. Existing workers are already changing their qualifications to adopt to new reality. I think by the time demography issue knocks on the door most of the discussed problem will be already solved.

Hardly ever read such rubbish. Poland like eastern Europe became prosperous because of the EU and the massive funds they received by countries like Germany, which was a decision made in order to preserve peace and lastly prosperity for all Europe.
As well German GDP per capita is more than twice as much as in Poland. The discrepancy in wealth is even much higher.
If you like the easy part for Poland has been done, but now follows the tricky bit. If anybody thinks increase in GDP continues like that, you do not understand the dynamics of social and political developments in such an environment. That needs long term stability and an open mind from a nation which is heavily divided between east and west - yes I speak of Poland - and divided by countryside and cities, more than most other countries in Europe.
I wish Poland all the best, but by suggesting it is overtaking Germany you are delusional and only incite stupid nationalism, revanchism and everything many in these two countries do not want to see.

@글로벌외노자
I am a South Korean with 5+ manufacturing experience, recently relocated to Poland from the United States, visiting Germany several times. I mostly agree with your video, but I would like to comment three things why Germany can't avoid declining.

1. Germany highly relies its economy on both the goverment and big corporates. Neither of them is working well with bureaccuracies and lack of innovations due to avoiding risks and responsibilities. I felt like the government is naively relying on taxes, regulations, and policies and the corporates are still following their out-dated protocols and decision making processes.
2. Germans lost their national pride and unique identity from their history education and massive immigrants. I know this was necessary and inevitable for overcoming its brutal history and labor shortage issue, but it caused irreversible collapse of Germany as common people disrespect their own country, focus on individual life (hard to say it is bad), and lose common integration traits.
3. Considering 1 and 2, Germany should have converted from Goliath to Davids, from massive giants corporates to agile startups. Indeed, Germany still has good small businesses and companies, but they are regulated by the government and controlled by corporate supply chains.

Otherwise, Poland couldn't have relied on its government and its corporates as they had not been working well for long years, but Poles have strong work ethics and high responsibilites for their tasks to survive from their neglected surroundings. Still they are complaining and hesitating due to their historic and financial traumas, but they achieved outstanding outcomes with their brother countries like Czech, Slovakia and Hungray which were disadvanted by two World Wars and Cold War for three decades without any fiancial supports from Marshall Plan. I am very proud of Poles.

Apart from my opinions, I love both countries with good beer and work ethics. I wish Germany and Poland can mutually support and grow together for long-term XD.

Poland is the second biggest recipient of EU funds, largely paid by Germany by the way. And last time I checked , Germany is, by far, Poland’s biggest market. So, apart from Poland doing well, which is admirable and appreciated, maybe sometime in the near future Poland can actually contribute more to the EU’s budget than it receives (by a huge margin). Until then, taking it down a few notches would be more than appropriate. Other than that, I have family in Poland that understand this perfectly.
