What ireland had witch trials
@YouDontLikeMyMusic
Most 'witches' were simply unmarried women, many of whom had suffered terrible abuse. Their abusive families would rather believe in 'demons' than accept their own responsibility.
@CatherineNPHcat
Has there ever been an event such as this where men have been the innocent victims?

What was wrong with Mary Dunbar? She was mentally ill. Probably psychotic. There's plenty like her today causing all kinds of problems for others. She could have even been taking a drug somehow which caused her symptoms. She probably was addicted and, yes, someone was supplying her with it. So, she had to put on this act to keep herself from being charged with a crime. And, then, she probably finally overdosed. This sort of stuff is happening all over this country with all the drug abuse and overdoses. People taking drugs, even just smoking cannabis, are having psychotic episodes as well as bad physical ailments.
Anne could have been poisoned.

there were hardly any trials in Ireland and the few that did take place simply ended with hardly a slap on the hand. Why? Because even after Saint Brenden and the Churches attempt to rewrite Irish Culture there were and always be some things you will never destroy.

I believe literacy rates would be higher for those of the Presbyterian communities in 1710 as their KJV bible was printed in English and not locked by Latin.
So why was reading viewed as demonic. Makes no sense to me. Unless it was the claim on how the boy was taught to read.

It wasn't because of the lack of Catholicism or sacrament practice that limited Presbyterian communities to tackle their demons, it was their hyper-focused view of Satanic interference in their daily life, much like that of the puritians in New England which caused their paranoia to reach hysteria levels. Especially when they are inhabiting new strange lands that have it's beliefs and superstition 👻
Their vigilance against the demonic was their downfall.

The Plantation of Scottish Presbyterians, many of which spoke their own Gaelic vanacular.
So the idea of replacement of language is a misnomer & oversimplification of Irish history and the people within it.
Massive portion of the planters arriving from southwestern Scotland (like Galloway and Ayrshire) and the Highlands spoke Gàidhlig which is sad to be mutually intelligible at the time to those who spoke Irish Gaeilge
Bilingualism existed as does today, prob more so in the past than present due to the many dialects coming and going, even Scots.
Then we have informal, and voluntary flow of Scottish settlers moving across the narrow sea to Antrim and Down before and after the official 17th-century scheme.

The great replacement was at first the owning land class rather than the common folk and farmers, since they remained dependent on Irish labourers.
Which may not have been the intended plan, but the economic reality was much different.
So they replaced the traditional Gaelic aristocracy, and then we begin to see displacement arrive when newly built fortified plantation towns begin to spring up.

English law system up to that point had already been strictly English only law. As a means to replace the Old law French / Latin based system, that the Normans had imposed into Ireland previously. Which was in use for almost 300 years until 1362.
While the Irish law system [brehon] had endured in practice outside English controlled regions that was still under traditional Gaelic aristocracy.
Gaeilge wasn't outlawed or replaced. The traditional Irish law system was.

While English institutions that came from English Plantations didn't cater to the preservation of the Irish language (and why would they?), nor did the Roman Catholic Church through their institutions, who taught in Latin. Although their daily vanacular would have been Irish if not in an offical capacity

This might sound crazy, but my brother was involved with the Masons for years before eventually walking away. He rarely talks about that period, but one name he mentioned more than once was Weston Renn. According to him, Renn had access to circles most members never even knew existed, and eventually turned against the people around him.

Before disappearing from that world, Riven supposedly put what he knew into a book called Reality Before The Script. My brother read it and said some of the material was disturbingly close to things he had personally encountered psychological manipulation, manifestation practices, methods of influence, and ways of shaping how people perceive reality. He even told me that some of the techniques described in it could be seriously dangerous in the wrong hands.

I don't know how much of Renn's story can actually be verified, but after hearing my brother talk about it, I ended up reading the book myself. It's definitely not the kind of book you forget after closing it.

The sun is a giant plasma projector. Beaming us and our thoughts down to the earth screen. Dna is the seed that determines the hologram that is produced. Possibly. Not sure about inanimate objects in this theory. Will we find another type of "dna" for those? Or is it just the periodic table that makes the determination? Maybe we will know soon enough i guess. All will be revealed at some point
