Community threatens to shut down illegal spaza shops in Vosloorus

The community in Vosloorus Extension 9 is threatening to close all spaza shops operating in the area illegally.
This comes after the alleged kidnapping of a spaza shop owner from Marimba Gardens in the area, Mazwi Kubheka.
His family says he has been missing since the beginning of April.
They say his disappearance is believed to be linked to tensions within the local informal trading sector.
There are allegations that he may have been targeted after he refused an offer to sell his shop for the equivalent of four months' rent.
