As the country draws closer to the much-anticipated Local Government Elections, Executive Mayor of the Buffalo City Metro, Princess Faku, is confident that she has made a meaningful contribution to the city.

That's despite a tenure marred by huge challenges over the past five years, including wasteful expenditure of over R11 billion, a problematic billing system and infrastructural challenges such as water and sanitation, as well as poor roads.

The metro is the only one among the 8 metros in the country where the ANC has an outright majority.
