President William Ruto has renewed his call for national unity, saying the broad-based government was formed to bring Kenyans together and shift the country away from divisive ethnic politics. Speaking on day three tour in the South Rift Region, the Head of State said Kenyans should not allow differences in ethnicity, religion or region to determine how they relate or access development and also how they elect their leaders. The President cited the close relationship between communities in the Rift Valley and Nyanza, saying neighbouring communities should work together and pursue a common development agenda.
