Putin chooses war over economic survival | Ukraine Brief

Mass Russian attacks across Ukraine have claimed the lives of at least nine people and wounded more than 140 others over the last day. This comes as Moscow doubles down on its use of jet-powered drones in assaults against civilian infrastructure. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have carried out their latest wave of strikes in Russia, hitting oil and logistics infrastructure nearly 600 kilometers from the frontline in the city of Saratov overnight into Friday. President Zelenskyy and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney signed a 100-year partnership in Calgary on Thursday, aimed at boosting cooperation in defense and energy, among other sectors.
