If you don't want to be hear, then just leave on your own terms. Why get permission?

I’ve watched relatives live as prisoners in their own bodies, reliant on 24/7 care.

The standard of care they received was atrocious, worsening their decline rather than helping them while they were kept alive for years against their wishes.

Between them, they paid hundreds of thousands for that misery, draining their life's work and leaving nothing for their children except the memories of prolonged agony and suffering.

I understand the need for strict safeguards to protect the vulnerable, but that shouldn't come at the cost of denying people their fundamental right to choose.

There is no way in hell I want to go through that, and I certainly don't want to pay for the privilege.

The current reality disgusts me.

Yet a variety of things which can statistically shorten your life are legal.

So how does this work? Two votes in favour doesn’t mean it goes through, but one vote against means it’s the end of the road? On the actual subject of assisted dying, it’s your life, how could someone else possibly be able to tell you what or what not you can do with it?

Oh no. Why MPs deciding? Each individual should be deciding or at least have the opportunity to decide for themselves.
