A large catalyst of why his image became a meme online is a direct result of how Republicans, famously the party of "free speech" and "f*ck your feelings", had people of their party in the highest echelons of government (not just RANDOM republicans) encouraged people to doxx and go after the employment of people who made fun of him or even dared to quote his direct words, like THIS PARTICULAR GUY was more special than George Floyd or Pelosi's husband or Alex Pretti or Renee Good, people whom republicans have never once discouraged making fun of.<br><br>The internet, quite famously, does not take well to being ordered to hold something sacred.
