18th BRICS Summit | Ramaphosa touches down in India

Boosting economic cooperation and trade will top the agenda when BRICS leaders meet in New Delhi, India, this weekend.

But the wars in Ukraine and Iran are also expected to feature prominently, with tensions between major powers casting a shadow over the summit.

Experts say Russia and China could use the gathering to criticise the United States over the conflict in Iran, while host India is likely to keep the focus on issues affecting the Global South.
