COSATU Congress | Unions map out next step

Trade union federation COSATU says new leaders will emerge at its upcoming congress to take the organisation forward and unite workers around the challenges facing the labour movement.

The federation has briefed the media ahead of its 15th National Congress in Midrand from 14 to 17 September.

The outgoing leadership has outlined COSATU's political, organisational, socio-economic and international positions ahead of the gathering.

Among its priorities are growing membership, rebuilding workplace organisation, and deciding whether to campaign alongside the ANC or the SACP in the upcoming elections.
