In a country with fewer women who are plumbers and artisans, Nedbank and Fix Forward have stepped in with a R20-million artisan programme for nearly 600 SME's. Their goal is to shift the narrative from job seeker to job creator. One of the beneficiaries of this program is Mandisa Hadebe, based in KwaZulu-Natal.

When Lindiwe Shibambo first entered the workforce as a domestic worker, she encountered a sector with no contracts, and no training. This became an experience that would later fuel her mission to transform an industry. Today, she is the founder and CEO of Maid4U, where she leads a growing franchise network that provides screened, trained domestic workers, nannies, caregivers, and gardeners - while helping households to navigate contracts, payroll, and compliance. What started as one woman's response to a broken system has become a scalable business model that creates jobs. Lindiwe visited us to share her journey.
