A forty-seven-year-old blind farmer from Delareyville in the North West is calling for the government to assist him with farming equipment to continue his farming.
This comes after the Department of Land Reform provided him with a farm in 2016 near Gysdorp. During the handing over of a farm by the Department of Land Reform they promised to provide him with other resources, including planting equipment, fencing, amongst others, but till today nothing has been done.
He says, he is a victim of crime in many occasions, whereby some of the cattle donated by the government were stolen due to a lack of fencing on the farm.
