Farmer struggling to run his farm due to lack of government support

A forty-seven-year-old blind farmer from Delareyville in the North West is calling for the government to assist him with farming equipment.

This comes after the Department of Land Reform provided him with a farm in 2016 near Geysdorp.

During the handing over of the farm, they promised to provide him with other resources, including planting equipment and fencing - but till today nothing has been done.

He says he is a victim of crime on many occasions, where some of the cattle donated by the government were stolen due to a lack of fencing on the farm.
