President Ramaphosa attends 18th BRICS Summit

New Delhi is preparing to take centre stage as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosts world leaders at the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam, this weekend.

A number of leaders are expected to attend the bloc's gathering. South Africa will be represented by President Cyril Ramaphosa.

The BRICS leaders will focus on expanding trade, enhancing financial and institutional cooperation.

The BRICS summit is held annually, with the chairmanship rotating among member countries.
