A Shiva temple located in Malda, India, fell into the Ganga River on Monday (7 Sep), due to severe riverbank erosion and rising floodwaters. Residents had tried to protect the temple using sandbags, but to no avail. The temple was approximately 150 to 175 years old. #india #indianews
