I'm sorry, but I find it shameful that Karmelo's family is again asking for money from the public. They have already raised over $650k during the first trial. I thought that the request to give him a new trial had been declined. Why are they now asking for more money? He stabbed another teenager in the heart and killed him and was found guilty. He did the crime, now he must do the time. Hearing the texts from Karmelo and yes, Austin was eye-opening to say the least, but after all is said and done, Karmelo still murdered Austin. There with a lot of witnesses, and he got a fair trial.

There probably will be a retrial. My guess is a federal court will grant him a retrial if the Texas courts don’t. But with ALL the incriminating texts and evidence introduced from that mutual agreement, he will likely be convicted again.
