Oil tanker struck by drone in Iraqi territorial waters #worldnow

The Panama-flagged oil #tanker New Andros was hit by a drone in #Iraqi territorial waters, triggering an onboard fire on September 9. The vessel carried around 2 million barrels of Iraqi fuel oil. All 22 crew members survived the attack with zero injuries. The United Kingdom #Maritime Trade Operations confirmed multiple Gulf merchant ships suffered disabling #strikes overnight, with no confirmed pollution or casualties.
