Indonesia steps up fight against online extremism targeting children

More than 600 children in Indonesia have been exposed to violent extremism on social media so far in 2026 and this is fuelling concerns over extremist content online. To counter this, Indonesia is preparing a regional action plan, expected to be launched early next year.
