Doctorow on #AI: I fear what's next

On the latest episode of You and AI with Ayşe Abacı, tech critic and author Cory Doctorow warns that businesses risk losing valuable human knowledge in the rush to automate. Once that experience disappears, rebuilding it may be difficult.

“It doesn't matter so much whether an AI can do your job. It matters whether an AI salesman can convince your boss to fire you and replace you with the AI that can't do your job,” Doctorow said.

He also argues that the enormous investment flowing into AI is creating an unsustainable economic bubble. If it bursts, companies may find themselves without the workers they replaced and without technology capable of filling the gap.
