Standing in his way is AmaZulu FC President and businessman Sandile Zungu, who is looking to pull off an upset and usher in a new era at SAFA.

The contest goes to the vote on 12 September, when 265 eligible delegates will have their say on who takes the captain's armband of South African football.

But there is no room for a stalemate - the winning candidate needs a simple majority of 50% plus one vote.
