'Cat' Matlala Trial | Spotlight on Musa Kekana's arrest

The defence in the trial of Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala and others, has accused police of lying about events during the arrest of the suspected gunman, Musa Kekana.

Kekana is fighting to have evidence obtained by police during his 2024 arrest, deemed inadmissible in a trial-within-a-trial in the Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg.

Matlala, his wife, Tsakani, Kekana, Nthabiseng Nzama, and Tiego Mabusela face 25 charges, including attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

This is in relation to the attempted murder of Matlala's former partner, Tebogo Thobejane, businessman Joe Sibanyoni, and music producer Seunkie Mokubung.
