Five suspects arrested in a drug bust in a farm have abandoned bail

The suspects were arrested during a police operation last month. Two Mexicans, Mariano Barraza and Joan Castillo, and Zimbabwean nationals, Tichaona Nyamukanga, Tanaka Nyamukanga and Lee Mubayi were arrested on a farm last month.

Defence lawyer, Attorney Wiets Beukes, says they will inform the court about a possible bail application at a later stage.

Beukes told the court that they are not ready to proceed as a Spanish interpreter is not available.
