Thai abbot arrested for alleged 92 million baht embezzlement

A senior monk from Wat Phutthaisawan temple in Ayutthaya, Thailand was arrested on Thursday (Sep 10) for allegedly embezzling and laundering more than 92 million baht (US$2.7 million) in temple funds. A female aide accused of colluding with him to disguise the funds was also arrested. Thai police say further investigations are ongoing. #thainews #thailand
