The trial-within-a-trial in the attempted murder case involving Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala and four others continues today at the Johannesburg High Court.
The defence of accused number one, Musa Kekana, is expected to present tracking information of police vehicles to challenge police timeline and conduct during his 2024 arrest.
Kekana was arrested in connection with the alleged murder of Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart.
On Tuesday, the case was postponed to give the state time to study the documents that Kekana's lawyers want to present as evidence.
Tensions rose when police tried to stop some of the accused from meeting with their lawyers.
The judge, however, ordered that the accused must be allowed to consult their attorneys.
