Trump Offers “Dividend” Cash Pledge to Energise Republican Base

Donald Trump comes to Dallas to energise Republicans as they face poor polling and tight races across the country. On stage, he touts his record, jokes about renaming the Strait of Hormuz the “Trump Strait” and promises a $5,000 “Trump Dividend” if Republicans win full control of Congress. Inside the arena, loyalists say he is “saving America”, while outside many voters blame him for war talk, economic pain and rising gas prices.
