He was injured and hardly played, and had an underwhelming world cup. It's true there are some players who did worse on him on the lost, but still there wouldn't be a major justification to have him just for last season. The season before, he could have won it

That's too simple. He is actually not even at the 50 in the world, I can easily list tons of players who are better than him. He only scores against small clubs in small matches, he ghosted at the world cup and champions league. Same for lamine
