Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlights capacity building as a strong pillar of India-Sri Lanka bilateral defence cooperation, while stressing the scope for closer and deeper maritime engagement.

He said the visit of INS Udaygiri reflects India’s commitment to working shoulder to shoulder with Sri Lankan friends for the welfare of both countries. The ship has also carried equipment and components as part of India’s defence assistance to Sri Lanka.
