Spring Day Murder | Tshepang Nyathi laid to rest, family left distraught

Family members of 20-year old, Tshepang Nyathi, who was fatally stabbed, allegedly by a 53-year-old man, say they are emotionally brutalised by his death, and the constant attacks on social media are adding salt to their wounds.

They have been speaking at Nyathi's funeral at his family home in Refilwe, Cullinan, outside of Pretoria.

He was killed last Tuesday, when Spring Day celebrations turned violent in Refilwe.

A group of young people were splashing water at each other and passersby, when the situation turned violent.

The man accused of Nyathi's murder can't be identified pending an identity parade, and is expected back in the Cullinan Magistrate's Court on the 27th of October.
