Sting operation in the North West targets formal and informal traders

Traders selling non-compliant, illicit and unsafe goods will face heavy prosecution, and possible suspension from trading anywhere in South Africa.

This follows a series of National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications sting operations targeting informal and formal traders in the North West.

The aim was to seize and remove unsafe goods, and hold non-compliant traders accountable.
