Markets Update | Rising oil price stokes inflation fears

Over in the United States, the S&P 500 ended lower on Tuesday with software makers losing ground. Hostilities in the Middle East lifted oil prices and investors awaited inflation data that could affect the chance of an interest rate hike.
The S&P 500 lost 0.58%.
The Nasdaq Composite lost 0.31%.
And the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1.16%.
