Passenger train derails after collision with truck in Poland

A routine journey across Poland turned into a major emergency.

Nearly 100 people were aboard the Lublin–Szczecin train when the collision occurred near Sokolnik in the Mazovia region. The locomotive and part of the train left the tracks, with injuries reported.

Firefighters and paramedics are at the scene assessing those hurt, while rail traffic on the affected section has been completely suspended.
