367 Km Rail Push Boosts India’s Connectivity #IndianRailways #RailwayInfrastructure #railway

The Gondia–Aklatara–Champa section is being upgraded to four lines, while Champa–Kharsia–Jharsuguda is already four-lined. The Jharsuguda–Kharagpur project will add a fourth line to the existing three-line sections. The 367-km project, costing ₹6,528 crore, will ease severe congestion, enable more train services and improve freight movement. It is expected to save around 43 crore kg of CO₂ annually, ₹967 crore in logistics costs, and generate 125 lakh person-days of employment: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw
