Should have gone around when he saw he was 500 feet too high on final. Should have never touched down.

The news are funny and pathetic nowadays,. But it is always a good hint that the part they try not to mention or purposely avoid speaking about buy it is inviously on any everyone with minimal mental skill to question, is usually the key and the cause of the problem they try hard to hide and avoid deep investigation.

It is already coming out why this happened
@Sir-Tightens-a-lot
Is this pilots' first time flying? Or were they cognitively impaired by alcohol? They made many rookie mistakes.

Panicked. Then thought about doing a go-around after they had already touched down. Otherwise, they would have applied the thrust reversers & repositioned the spoilers for a landing, along with applying the brakes, etc.

⏳ Once they got close to the runway, I don’t think they had any intentions to complete a landing on that attempt. None of the vids I’ve seen show the thrust reversers engaged and functioning.
