Mayoral Debate | MKP highlights Joburg's financial woes

The City of Johannesburg's financial downfall has raised concerns among city mayoral candidates as they prepare for the November Local Government Elections.

The uMkhonto weSizwe Party'smayoral candidate for the city, Bongani Baloyi, says the metro has been hard hit by years of financial misuse and corruption which have resulted in lack of service delivery for it's residents.

Meanwhile, ActionSA's MMC Candidate for Development Planning, Ayanda Allie, highlighted that it has become impossibe to ignore the country's high cost of living amid a rapid rise in unemployment and poverty.
