Edgar Lungu | Remains to be transferred to Pretoria East mortuary

The mortal remains of former Zambian President Edgar Lungu will be kept at AVBOB private mortuary in Pretoria East. The Zambian government and the Lungu family reached an agreement before the High Court in Pretoria. The court has also set aside the April 22 order after Lungu’s remains were moved from another funeral parlour. While Lungu’s body is being kept at AVBOB, the Zambian government will bear the costs. In the event of refusal by AVBOB to accept the appointment, the court shall make the appointment of another mortuary.
