*Parliament's Impeachment Committee will meet this morning, with its work now facing legal challenges over the appointment of its evidence leader.
The EFF has approached the Western Cape High Court challenging the committee's decision to rescind its recommendation of Advocate Thandazani Madonsela.
The party wants the court to declare the decision unlawful and set it aside.
*Tshepang Nyathi - the 20-year -old who was allegedly stabbed to death during Spring Day celebrations last week, will be buried this morning in Refilwe, Cullinan, outside Pretoria.
The incident happened after a group of young people splashed water on unsuspecting individuals passing through the area.
*Former Special Task Force member Matipandile Sotheni returns to the Brakpan Magistrate’s Court today in connection with the murder of Marius van der Merwe, also known as Witness D in the Madlanga Commission. Sotheni is facing 16 charges including murder and firearm-related offences.
The State is expected to provide an update on outstanding forensic evidence as the matter edges closer to trial.
*The United Nations has called for additional funding to contain the Ebola outbreak in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
This as more than 3 200 deaths have been reported as Ebola continues to spread.
