Living in a costal State all my life....I genuinely don't understand people who build directly on the coast. I'd MUCH rather travel 30 minutes to an hour to get to the coast than have that risk. The risk of storm damage is lower, housing is less expensive, insurance is easier to get, there's less tourism, food is less expensive, etc etc etc. There's literally no downside. 🤷🏼♀️

The best thing to do is have a control demolition of all those houses and what i mean is the way a house is built section at a time do it the same way but in reverse starting with the roof and work the way down to the foundation instead of just getting a bulldozer and knocking everything down which will cause the debris to fall into the water and don't know how stable the ground underneath is which probably have some sinkholes already forming and that's my opinion and suggestion
