Section 89 Impeachment Committee to decide on legal challenges over Adv Madonsela

The Section 89 Impeachment Committee will decide on Wednesday whether to oppose the legal challenges over its decision to rescind the recommendation of Advocate Thandazani Madonsela as evidence leader.

The EFF wants the Western Cape High Court to declare the decision unlawful.

The African Legal Professional Association has also approached the court.

Committee Chairperson, Makashule Gana, says the legal challenges will have to be dealt with before the committee can proceed with its work.
