The Moranrt Bay Rebellion took place in 1865, 27 years after the end of slavery in Jamaica. It therefore was not a slave rebellion.😂
It would make sense to pay reparations to the people who were enslaved, but that, of course, is impossible. It shouldn't just be Britain, of course - most countries, including America, should do so. Why should money be paid for descendants of slaves, though? Most are probably better off than they would have been had slavery not existed - they would presumably still be in Africa, with a much lower standard of living than they currently have. What harm has their ancestors' slavery done them, and - if any - how would you measure it? What of my ancestors who were captured into slavery by the Barbary corsairs/pirates? Should I get reparations for that? Of course not.
Is that the same as colonization of a country ??
