Canada's $20B of retaliatory tariffs now in effect

Wrong…Communist News Network, anti Trump everything, TDS… LOL, why not remove all tariffs Canada, and let you citizens choose which products they want to buy? So, let’s see, Canada places tariffs on US products and the US retaliates and the US is the evil one? Canada has 41.4 million people, in comparison Texas alone has 32.1 million residents. So here you go speaking out of your ash, let’s say you liberal Canadians cancel all trade with the US, not selective trade BS, ALL trade, who are you going to hurt? Keep believing these liberal and you will quickly accelerate your own demise. Hell it is already happening. Look at all the companies closing up shop and moving across the border, and all of the jobs Canadians are losing. But I think that is the plan the current liberal government of Canada wants. Do a few internet searches… out of the Canadian population how many are elderly and below the age of 15, answer approximately 35%, of the 65% left, what percentage of Canadians work for the government 25%, that leaves 40%, how many Canadians work in the private sector 22%, now that leaves 18% that are really rich or really poor that do not work. This is the road to socialism/communism when the government employs the majority of the population and the private sector is dwindling steadily the end result will be socialism/communism, keep believing these politicians and their puppets. Look no further than Carney, Brookfield Corporation maintains its headquarters in Toronto, while its subsidiary, Brookfield Asset Management, moved its headquarters to New York in late 2024 / early 2025. Do your own research, never believe the media and these idiots online. Wake up, these clowns do not have your best interest in mind, they only want to tax you to the point that you become dependent on them, then they will own you, hell they already own 75% of the Canadian population.

Canada exported approximately $409 billion in goods to the United States in 2025. Why not remove all tariffs? Canada cannot implement tariffs only US products and not expect the US to implement tariffs only Canadian products and vice versa. All these tariffs do is raise prices for the consumer. If one country places a 400% tariff on cheese from another country, then they can easily charge 300% for their own product because the average consumer will naturally buy the cheaper product. Now if there was no tariff on the cheese, the consumer will buy the product they like the best. So hen these politicians say they are protecting their own countries dairy industry, they are lying, you have to look deeper. Look at what these political parties have to gain from it, politicians DO NOT do anything without having something to gain…money from these industries for campaigns to remain in power, it is never to improve your quality of life. Wake up!

Canada leaders aren't like the USA leader, once they say something they do as they say.
Unfortunately both side will suffer for this move, but something had to be done. The result of those insults, mime. degrading remarks and illegal tariff that was imposed on Canada. No, the relationship between Canada and the USA will never go back to what it was. ( we've learned our lesson).
We are doing what is right for Canada, the real question are you doing what is right for the USA?

This trade and tariffs disputes and desagreements in North America has nothing to do with the the russian invasion of Ukraine and the war in Iran. As it is reported in this CNN video president Trump's administration and the canadian government in Ottawa are unable to have commerce and trade in stable and profitable conditions for both countries across the common border . But Canada and the United States of America have to find the way to do it .
