Govt warns against anti-migrant vigilantism

The government is warning groups targeting undocumented foreign nationals, insisting that immigration enforcement remains the responsibility of law enforcement agencies, and not private citizens.

Briefing the media on progress in implementing the Five Point Plan on Migration Management, Inter-Ministerial Committee Chairperson and Justice Minister, Mmamoloko Kubayi, has cautioned against vigilantism and unlawful identity checks.
