President Cyril Ramaphosa has called on municipalities to restore accountability and enhance it.

He has addressed the meeting of the Extended Presidential Coordinating Council in Boksburg, bringing together stakeholders involved in the National Water Crisis Committee.

The President emphasised that water services must be ring-fenced and financial stability protected.

He says qualified engineers, technicians, and financial administrators must become priority appointments at municipalities.
