Premiers, Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs MECs, mayors and key stakeholders have convened under the National Water Crisis Committee to tackle South Africa's growing water challenges.
The committee, chaired by President Cyril Ramaphosa, briefed the Presidential Coordinating Council on efforts to drive a more decisive and coordinated national response to the crisis.
With water shortages, infrastructure failures and service delivery concerns affecting communities across the country, the focus is now on urgent interventions and long-term solutions.
For more on the government's response to the water crisis, we are joined by Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Velenkosini Hlabisa.
