Vusumuzi 'Cat' Matlala and co-accused back in court | 08 September 2026

The High Court in Johannesburg is expected to continue with a trial within a trial today in the attempted murder case involving alleged underworld figure Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala and four co-accused.

Matlala is accused of orchestrating three failed assassination attempts targeting his former girlfriend, Tebogo Thobejane, businessman Joe Sibanyoni and music producer Seunkie Mokubung, better known as DJ Vettys.
