The Northern Cape Premier Dr Zamani Saul is set to officially launch 30 new Emergency Medical Services vehicles aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery across the province. The fleet includes 20 ambulances and 10 patient transport vehicles, which will be deployed across the Northern Cape's five health districts to improve emergency response and patient transport services. This announcement comes after outcries from communities across the province and especially in far flung areas that emergency services are poor. In some cases ambulances never arrived leading to patients having to find own means to get to hospitals (in some cases more than one hundred kilometres away)
